Hi:

Other than through a customization, is there a way to have additional text appear in the header of the Purchase Order and print onto the Purchase Order?

Hi,

In the header you can use comments. However to print those comments again you will need customization in report but no field customization.

For Lines you can use comments line or extended text.

Hello John,

In standard Business Central, you can’t add new custom text to the Purchase Order header and have it print there without customization; out of the box, your only options are using existing header fields (like Your Reference or Vendor Order No.) or Purchasing Comments, which can print but always show in the document body, not the header. Anything beyond that (extra header line, legal text at the top, custom wording) requires a report/layout customization (Word or RDLC).

Alternatively, you can use Notes, which can also be added to the report.

Hello John,

In Standard Business Central there are no any specific field which shows the additional text in the purchase order report. but if you want to add some additional text for viewing purpose you can use the "Comments" as well as "Notes" in the fact-box in the purchase order page.

Customization is required if you want to print additional text in the purchase order report.
