Hi all, I have a few ideas on how to handle this item numbering scenario, just curious to see what you all think. Currently a client has customer specific part numbers for components that are exactly the same. These components are made by different manufacturers and sold by their vendors. They say they can't get rid of the customer specific part numbers because of how engrained it is in their current inventory and programming, but they also don't want MRP to suggest all of these customer specific part numbers, because they're all basically the same exact part and that would flood the planning worksheet. I'm trying to find a way to handle this in BC OOB with references, variants and SKU's, but I'm beginning to think I might need an ISV or custom. How would you handle this scenario?
