Hardware compatibility with BC Microsoft mobile apps or third party solutions

Currently, we have several android tablets (Samsung A9+) paired with the wireless socket mobile 720S scanners used for picking, put away etc. in our current warehouse.

I would like to know if this hardware setup can work with the Business Central or Warehouse mobile apps for warehouse operations above or if there are any third party solutions available that would work with the setup.
I have the same question (0)

You can use Business Central on Mobile, Tablet, there is an App available for Business Central in Play Store.

If you are looking for a specific warehouse management solution, then you might need a third-party app that can integrate with business central.

BC's Android app has a built-in scanning function, but it is limited to certain specific fields.
More details: Business Central 2023 wave 2 (BC23): Print and scan barcodes (No customization)

Dynamics 365 Business Central: Add a Scan Barcode action and scan multiple/Continious scanning (Invoke barcode scanning programmatically from AL)

If your wireless socket mobile 720S scanners have a built-in input function, just like a Bluetooth keyboard, there are no field restrictions, and you can directly input into the BC app. We have customers who use it this way.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Yes, your Samsung A9+ tablets with Socket Mobile 720S scanners can work with Business Central because the scanner acts as a Bluetooth keyboard and sends the barcode value directly to the active field in the BC mobile app or browser. However, standard Business Central warehouse pages are not optimized for scanning workflows, so while basic scanning can work, most warehouses use a mobile WMS extension (such as Warehouse Insight or similar third-party apps) that provides proper mobile screens for picking, put-away, and warehouse operations and works well with Android tablets and external scanners.

@YUN ZHU I would like to use the scanner for pick and put-away operations, are there any resources on how this can be done with the hardware I have preferably using the Business Central android app?
