Surfacing Dynamics CRM Data to external user website

Hi
We have Dynamics CRM for Sales. Our internal development team is planning to build a portal for external users who are not Dynamics CRM licensed users. They were planning to read data from Dynamics CRM and update there directly from the custom portal. I explained that we would need Power Pages MAU license for this.

Then they asked me if we export data from Dynamics to Datalake using Azure Synapse Link and then build the portal using Datalake as datasource, will that still require licensing? They said they won't update the data directly but use a middle ware to perform the updates.

If we go with this approach of reading from Datalake and update using a middleware like Service Bus etc, would that still be a licensing issue?
I have the same question (0)
