AsyncOperation capacity is increasing in our backup environment

Hello,

When checking our environment capacity, I noticed that AsyncOperation under file storage have increased a lot and consume more than 7GB of our total storage capacity.

Microsoft Docs don't provide details related to this topic.

Is their a way to check and delete this table data?

Or Can Microsoft support help me figure out the problem?

Thanks.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

You can clear up space by deleting completed Async Operation Jobs.

The simplest way is to use out-of-the-box Bulk Delete jobs for this purpose, as shown in the below article (basically delete old System Jobs table records):

Cleaning up records from the AsyncOperationBase / WorkflowLogBase table - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Blog

The following article from Microsoft explains, how you can free up some space:

Free up storage space - Power Platform | Microsoft Docs

Once you have deleted the jobs from the Async Operation table, I recommend scheduling a bulk delete job that runs every week or month and deletes anything older than X days (for example 30 days).

Hi Dynamicss De, the guidance provided by Wahaj is great.

This table is expected to grow fast if maintenance is not regular, applying the steps mentioned in the article you can free this table and others that are related to jobs in the system.
