Subgrids don't show on create

I've got a couple of subgrids on the Opportunity form that do not show on an Opportunity create. After the opportunity is created, they display and are functional. I cannot find what prevents them from showing on a create. (Click +New to create a new opportunity and they are not there).

Where do I find what prevents those subgrids from showing? I need to add similar functionality to keep a field from displaying.

Hello,

The reason why subgrids are not shown - because when you create master record (opportunity) it is not in the database yet so there is nothing you can tie related record to.

As an analogy - you can's put anything into the car if you haven't purchased the car yet.

On an existing opportunity, the form looks like this:

While on a new opportunity, where we haven't reached the action stage, there's just a bunch of white space:

Yes, we are talking about the same thing. This is how system works - create the parent record first, add related information after.

If I want to customize and also prevent another field from displaying until after the record is created?

In this case you will have to use JavaScript.

Here is how you can define the form type - docs.microsoft.com/.../getformtype

Here is how you can hide or disable the field is the form type is Create:

docs.microsoft.com/.../setvisible
