Shopify and Business Central Integration

I have done extensions management Allow HttpClient Requests for the Shopify Connector, deleted and redownloaded the Business Central app on Shopify, deleted and made a new Shopify Shop Card on Business Central, and every time I get some error that doesn't allow me to sync my Shopify site with Business Central. Most of them seem to be pop up errors, but I allowed pop ups from BC and Shopify, used a different browser, and cleared my cookies/cache with no luck still. Wondering if anyone else had similar issues and how they were able to fix this?

    Make sure the Shopify Connector extension in Business Central has full permissions enabled, especially the “Allow HttpClient Requests.”  e-zpassny

    I am trying to enable shopify site with business central (where all item cards are stored, etc). To enable, I need a token. So on business central > shopify shop card > actions > access > request access (to request token from shopify) it loads this smaller window in the back first. then this second window. but they load blank, and then just close out within a few seconds and do nothing.

    Seems to be a client-side issue preventing the two sides from exchanging the necessary data. Have you tried a different browser, as well as trying without the VPN underpinnings?

    VPN is not turned on, and yes I tried with Microsoft Edge and Opera with no luck on either.

    I do get a little further on Microsoft Edge, with this being the pop up though.

    It sounds like you've enabled pop-ups for this in your browser settings, based on the screen shots. Do you already have the Shopify admin portal up in a separate tab in the same browser? I think this helps the process, at least based on this.

    This is a bit strange. Have you tried using a different computer?
    Or try using your home network instead of the company network; it could also be a firewall issue.

    Hello,
     
    This isn’t a popup or browser issue — it’s almost always Shopify API access not being properly granted to Business Central. In BC v26+, you must use Shopify Shop Card → Actions → Access → Request Access while logged into Shopify as the store owner (not a staff user), and complete the OAuth consent; otherwise sync will fail and “Test Connection” stays disabled. If it’s already broken, fully uninstall the BC app in Shopify, delete the Shopify Shop Card in BC, recreate it, and request access first before any sync, then verify the BC app has Products/Orders/Inventory permissions in Shopify Admin.
