EFT file 1464 Byte for the CAD Transaction.

Hello,

I have prepared the DED for the EFT file (1464 byte – CPA005 / 1464 format).

When I generate the EFT file with more than 10 lines, the system automatically adds 4 extra lines filled with zeros after every 10 lines. After that, it continues with the remaining lines. You can see this in the image below.

Could you please guide me on how to remove these extra 4 lines.?

Is this Business Central? Is this a report, a standard one or a custom one, or is this something else.

    Hi,

The behavior you’re seeing is typically related to the EFT file format specifications or the way the system handles block padding. In the CPA005 / 1464-byte format, records are often grouped in fixed-size blocks, and when the block isn’t completely filled, the system adds filler records (usually zeros) to maintain alignment.

    To address this:

    1. Check the EFT generation settings in your system configuration. There’s usually an option to control block padding or filler records.

    2. Review the DED mapping to ensure that the segment or record count logic doesn’t enforce a fixed block size.

    3. If the system enforces padding by design (for compliance), removing those lines might not be recommended. In that case, confirm with your bank or payment processor whether the extra lines are acceptable or if they require a strict record count.

    4.

Could you verify if adjusting the block size or disabling padding in the configuration resolves the issue?

    Thanks and best regards,

    Daniele
