Ebay integration with BC token issue

Hello there,
I'm working on an API integration Ebay with business central (trying to fetch Ebay orders and show it on bc), but the token i got from Ebay has a length of more than 2350+, i cannot store this
value on bc due to the field size limitation of 2048. what are my options i want to reference my field "Access Token" Text [2048] as the token on all the endpoints.

You can create a blob field in Business Central which can store more than 2048 characters - Blob Data Type - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

hi valentin,

if i use it as blob i cannot convert the jsontoken which stores the ebay token into text. at the very least jsontoken cannot convert to a blob from what i understand , neither does it support operators.

i added some screenshots for reference

Hi, Valentin

It was just as you said I was able to store my token in a blob field. I took reference from the standard sales header table - "Work description". I copied over both the functions and used outstream to store the token and used instream to read the value inside. I presume thats how it works based on my understanding.

I think what Valentin means is that you store the value in the Blob of the table, not in the Text of the table.

Then when reading this blob field, you can read it into a text variable. The length of the Text variable is much larger than 2048.

You can refer to the standard work description approach.
