Default production or receiving quantity field set to 0 but App defaults to max quantity when RAF

Hello Experts! I set a Default production or receiving quantity of 0 for each item in my warehouse.

I set it in the item

When the Production Order is created, the value is copied to it

But when I try to report as finished from the mobile app, it defaults to the total quantity in the order.

I was expecting to default to 0. If I set any quantity that is different from 0 it works correctly and defaults that quantity. Is there a setting that I might be missing or this is the out of the box behavior?

Thanks!
I have the same question (0)

I believe this is standard behavior.  Using 0 is effectively ignoring the setting.

    Hi,

Yes, this is standard behavior in D365 SCM.

When the Default production or receiving quantity is set to 0, the mobile app will default to the full production quantity rather than 0. This happens because the system treats 0 as "no override."

If you want the user to manually enter the quantity during Report as finished, you’ll need to train them to overwrite it — or use a value like 1 as a workaround to avoid defaulting to full.

There’s no out-of-the-box setting to force a 0 default on the mobile device. A customization would be needed to override this logic.

    Warm Regards,

    Zain
