Hello,

I’m facing to this issue, I want to keep the same license plate during the picking grouped by license plate but in the system, I have to declare a new target license plate for only for the first picking, for the second picking, it keeps the same License plate.

This is the scenario:

1-I have two work orders Finished goods put-away created, each work order is linked to a production order with the same License plate :

2- I setup my mobile device to manage the production put-away directed by System grouping based on target license plate grouping :

3-When I start picking, I have to declare a new target license plate while I want to keep the same License plate :

4-And for the second picking, the system keeps the same LP:

5-My goal is to keep the same LP defined in the tow production order for both work orders :

    Hi partner,

I think you have to do some customization.

This looks to me like your work template has Max # of pick lines = 1 and a maximum qty that is less than the qty you're doing a RAF for on the mobile device menu item which is configured to generate a license plate.  Change your process to only do a RAF each time you complete a pallet / 8 pcs and you will get the behavior you want.

    Hello Youssef,

I dont think you'll be able to consolidate sepeare Work ID in this manner without developement.

Options using standard functionalities would be :

    1) Complete the RAFs adding the different items on the same LP with no putaway work. From there, a Mobile device menu item for <Movement> would allow you to mobe the entire LP to a location that could be chosen by the worker or defaulted on the specific Menu Item (using the "Use Default Data" option).  To prevent work, you would need a Work Policy for Finished Goods Putaway.

    2) Pick Work ID separately using system grouping by Target LP as you are doing but not group the Put away. Put away the intended LP in destination Location. When puting away the second, click on on the button Overide LP to have both items consolidated on the same original LP in destimation location.  Here is the MDMI I used to achieve this:

    Thank you for your response,

The fist solution you suggest it is our process, Now, we try to improve it by using finished put-away work, We try to understand why the system asks for different LP in the picking.

I tested the second case, there is an extra step to re-scan the initial License plate.

    Thank you

    RE: Target license plate

    Hi Youssef,

Why system is asking for different Target LP?  It is all because you are picking two different work IDs.

    1) Work Id#1: You have two items on the same LP.  When you are executing the first pick, you are only picking one of the two items so leaving one behind on the original LP. As the User Location is a LP tracked location, you need to pick on a new Target LP, there is no way around that.

    2) Work ID#2: for the second work ID, because there is no more remaining item on the LP so the item & LP can be entirely be picked.  As it is a different work ID, it does not pick on the Target LP created for the first pick.  If the second pick was a second work line for the same work id, it would pick that second line on the Target LP created for the first.

I think the easiest way to achieve would be to extend the Move by Template Work creation to allow to create work for the content on an entire LP.

    Regards,

    Danny
