Hello All,
 
Currently we use BC 20 on prem and we would like upgrade to BC 26 on prem. Our supporting company said that we can upgrade to BC 25 first and after can update to BC 26. May I ask that is it true?

    Microsoft does recommend the database is upgraded to BC25 before being converted to BC26.  It does not mean you have to stop at version 25, just that part of the upgrade process is to pass through version 25.  The end-result of your upgrade would still be BC26, or at least it should.

    Yes, that’s correct. You cannot upgrade directly from BC 20 to BC 26. Microsoft’s recommend to update BC 25 on-premises first.
     
    On version BC26 Microsoft has removed lot of obsolete objects and avoid data loss its first you need update to BC 25 and then BC 26
