On premise vs SAAS in Business Central

Good day,

Considering that Microsoft is heavily focused on SaaS, I would like to explore all of its functionalities to build a strong case for transitioning our company to this model. However, the company I currently work for is very much focused on on-premise solutions, and neither they nor our partner are willing to move towards SaaS at this time.

Is there any way I could access and try out SaaS functionality for free? Currently, we are only using on-premise solutions, and I would like to explore the latest features to stay updated.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    You can create a Business central 30 day's free trial and try SaaS functionality.

    Yes you can, here's an explanation:
     
    Another solution would be to first create a  Microsoft 365 trial: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/business/compare-all-microsoft-365-business-products  
    and then use that email to create a Business Central trial: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics-365/free-trial#tabs-pill-bar-oc106b_tab3 
     
    You also might want to point out that solutions targeting BC On Prem that are not compatible with BC Saas are absolutely not recommended and might result in fines: The Dynamics 365 Business Central Universal Code initiative is live - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Blog
