Warehouse - Generating Put Away work after registering items at Item Arrival Journal

Hi,

in an actual project the users want to register the receive of items at the receipt location using the item arrival journal. Later we have to make a Put-Away from receipt to Floor or Bulk locations. If I receive the items using the Warehouse App, the Put-Away work is generated. But how I can generate the Put-Away work if I register the arrival with the Item Arrival Journal without using the Warehouse App?

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Pedro,

    That would not be possible to do automatically, but can be achieved manually with some extra effort;

    After you post product receipt, go to Locations list page and use Create Inventory Movement work

    However, you will have to manually define the To Location were the inventory has to be put, this would create work

    Is it in your scenario possible to navigate the warehouse worker to the RECV area where he/she scans the pallet ID? If so, you might want to check whether the system movement logic works for you. You can configure the movement location directives in this case the same as how you would normally configure your purchase order location directives.

    Besides, out of curiosity, may I ask what the reason is for using the item arrival journal for the registration process?

    Main reason is that they actually they are working in a Ax2009 using Item Arrival Overview, plus Item Arrival journals, I do not want to change their way of working too much on a first step but after the replies I will first try to make everything with the Warehouse App and keep an eye if there is a possibility to make a customization that generates the Put Away work after registration in the Item Arrival Journal, that should be also, in theory possible.
