Having Trouble Downloading Symbols into Visual Studio Code

Every time I start a new AL project, Visual Studio Code always gives me a hard time when I try to download symbols.

Below are my app.json, launch.json, and Hello World files.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi, There's a problem with your Launch.json file; the server is for the On-Pre version.

You can refer to my file below.

In recent versions, you can obtain this Launch.json setting directly from the Extension Management page.

@YUN ZHU: I changed it to Microsoft Cloud Sandbox. But, it still wouldn't download symbols. What else can I do?

@Lubenheimer: "Could not download symbols". It asks me to review the VSC code file for details. I don't even know where that is.

Hello,

Your code is fine, the issue is your app.json versions.

Use:

"application": "26.0.0.0"

and remove "platform": "1.0.0.0".

Then download symbols again — it’ll work.

Hi,

In your app.json file, just change the runtime version from 16.0 to 15.0, and then try to download symbols again. It will work.
