Is there any way to do phone call to Contact Person from Business central itself and attach call record on contact once call done?

Hello,

I can see make phone call feature in Business central. But is there any way to connect number directly from Business Central application itself, record the call and attach same call record on contact.

    Hi

    I was searching for the same idea before and could not find a solution for it. Basically you need a phone system that is capable of connecting to BC and then that phone system can interact with BC through API. That being said you can look into the following app and see the possibility (it works only with STARFACE phone system). But if you go to their help and look at the setup you can see the needed step. Then check with your phone company and see if this is possible or not.

    Hi MahGah,

    Thanks for quick response, But in this AppSource solution, we can only do phone call and not able to attach phone recording automatically.  There is only manually add notes to respective contact. Correct?

    That is correct. It can take note (the app) and attach to the contact. You just need a similar idea to record the call then attach to contact. Just keep in mind that if you are on SaaS version you need to be careful with database size. Phone calls recording can take lots of space on database. Hence, link to reordered phone call is a better idea for SaaS.

    As I mentioned I could not find fully working solution since needs capable phone system for such an action. But if your phone system can interreact with BC through API  and also you can link BC to your phone system then you maybe able to do it.

    Hi, You seem to be asking for a CRM function.

    There is a Opportuniity feature in BC, you can manage each task (Phone call or Meeting) record manually.

    I know you can use a VoIP number from Mightycall with similar features. Here any call is recorded immediately and you can take any recorded conversation and for example if you have any problems with any employee of the company, you can send the phone conversation to customer service, where they will have to accept your claim and proof in the form of a call. I think that's very convenient.
