Hello ,

I am quite new to the Dynamics world, so forgive me in case this is a newbee question :-) :

I have created a trial Dynamics 365 environment, and activated the Sharepoint integration. I was not happy with the standard sharepoint document location (which was a Communication Sharepoint Site) so I tried to set up a new SharePoint Document Location according https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/dynamicscrm-2016/admins-customizers-dynamics-365/mt812278(v=crm.8)?redirectedfrom=MSDN&WT.mc_id=email .

However, when I try to set up a new location (by clicking on "new")...

... I get this error message:

This is the error message in plain text:

Selected entity is read-only for this client.

Read-only entity detected.
I have a Global Admin Role in Office 365, and a System Admin in Dynamics 365. Therefore, there shouldn't be any read-only problems.
So, how can I fix that?

    Hello Ajyendra,

thanks for your reply. I have double checked that: The security role "Salesperson" has your mentioned

privileges. Still, it is not possible to grant additional SharePoint document locations to a MS Dynamics 365 trial tennant.

Any sugestions for a possible solution of that kind of problem?

    Best Regards

    Florian

its to do with the new UI, add &forceclassic=1 into the URL and it will work.

    e.g.

    https://<yourcrm>.crm11.dynamics.com/main.aspx?newWindow=true&forceclassic=1&pagetype=entityrecord&etn=sharepointdocumentlocation#608967913
