Hi Everyone.

Hope that all of you are keeping safe.

What is the difference between posting consumptions to a job with the Job Journal and the Job G/L Journal?

Please assist me on this.

Thanks and Warm Regards,

Denys De Andrado.

    Hi,

If you use Job Journal then on posting you will get Job Ledger Entries and no G/L entries will be created. Means our Job consumption has no relation with Finance.

If you use Job G/L Journal then on posting you will G/L entries also along with Job Ledger Entries. You can also put Customer in Job Journal and Invoice him for a Job.

    Hello Denys,

    Hope to find you well.

The major difference between both Jobs  Journals are::

. Job Journals  - Entries aren't reflected in GL only affects Jobs. and Resources Tables.

. Job G/L Journals - Entries are reflected  in all Tables (Jobs, Resources , GL, ... ).

    Here are some samples:

Hope I was able to clarify you.

    Have a nice day.
