Service Principal for Data Integration Connections

Hi there,

We have few Data Integrations project in the Power Platform but they are using connections tied to User Accounts, is there a way to utilize ServicePrincipal accounts.

The only two options that I do see there are using any of the two connectors (Finance and Operations Connectors, Dataverse Connector)

If it allows the Dataverse Connector, you can create a connection using a Service Principal.

Hi @Tom_Gioielli

How do you get that option, as I try that on my end all i see a choice to select the Datavserse connector:

Once I choose the environment and move next, it gives me option to click on the Create button:

Moving on, it pop-ups to sign-in with user account:

It never allows me to choose the Service Principal

I have created the Service Principal Connection in Power Apps Connections; this is the place where all other connections are also listed which appear in the dropdown for connectors. However, this connection doesn't appear in the list.

Apologies for any delay. It looks like I was mistaken. The Data Integration connection sets appear to use the Dataverse (Legacy) connection type, instead of the new Dataverse connector which supports the Service principal connection.
