Restoring CRM Database

Hi Expects,

We have an on-premise deployment and accidentally deleteted a few records from an entity. How can we recover this ? Presumably through restoring the database back-ups but is there a way to restore the deleted records ? I assume we would need to set up real time back ups ? I know nothing about back-ups by the way.

    Hi Jay,

    If you have auditing enabled, you can restore them using Snapshot via www.cobalt.net/dynamics-crm-snapshot

    If you didn't have auditing enabled, you're best off creating a parallel org with the backup and creating them manually by referencing the old org, then disabling it when you're done.

    So if auditing is not enabled, you can't restore deleted records without using your second suggested solution ?

    Unfortunately, no. You'd have to restore from a backup, either over your existing crm org or in parallel to copy the data.
