Using a Party List in a Workflow

I have added in a Last Activity Date on my contact forms and used workflows so that an individual appointment or telephone call updates this on the form. This, of course, uses the "Regarding" field in each activity. My goal (and it works perfectly for these) is a neglected contacts report.

However, I also have a customized activty entity with a party list that I'd like to use to perform the same function. There is no way that i can see to utilize the party list "Attendees" field in the same way as the "Regarding" field so that it updates the Last Activity Date on the Contact form.

I have also tried utilizing a Marketing List and setting up Quick Campaign appointment, but the "Regarding" field in this instance uses the name of the campaign rather than attaching to each member of the list.

I understand that workflows have limited functionality for party lists, but does anyone have workarounds? Are there any JavaScript solutions for selecting and attaching the names to then be used in a workflow?

I'd be grateful for any help with this problem.

Thanks.

    Hi Brian,

As far I understand, a plug-in is the only way to do this because you are asking the CRM to cycle through multiple contacts, and workflow cannot do this out-of-the-box.

Here is a link to more information a plugin that does this.

Thank you so much for the reply. I worked with a plugin and it functions beautifully.
