We've upgraded from a CRM4/IE9 environment to one running a CRM 2015 with IE11, and have some older SharePoint sites that continue to work perfectly in the web client, but now throw script errors when the same records are opened from the new Outlook client.
Specifically, the problem relates to a document library that is embedded in an iFrame within the Opportunity form, and provides better document management than what is available with the CRM SharePoint connector.
During troubleshooting, we discovered that:
A. When opened from Outlook, sites added as "Local Intranet" by the domain policy are NOT treated as local intranet sites. This causes JavaScript errors with Out of the box SharePoint code, and prevents the SharePoint document upload from working.
B. When opened from Outlook, the "Disable Script Errors" browser setting is not being respected, and script errors are shown to the user. These errors occur because the site is not being treated as a trusted local intranet site.
So the question is, how do we get the Outlook client to respect the browser settings, disable script errors, and respect the domain policy on trusted intranet sites?
Thanks,
Mike
