Display products by ID instead of NAME

A field on our incident form shows the product associated to the incident. The field shows the product by NAME, but we need it to show the product's ID. Any way, to modify the field so that it displays the associated product's ID instead of the product's name?

The lookups always display the primary field value of the entity that this lookup is associated with. Check the primary field of the product entity. You could change the values on the products so the number is included in the name.

The only way I have seen this done is using an unsupported method, which I wouldn't recommend. It's for CRM 4 as well
