Paste from Excel to GP2015 not working

I’m trying to paste Excel data into a Financial general transaction entry window in GP2015, but the excel button isn’t responding.

I’ve verified that  Open XML SDK 2.0  is loaded on my PC

I’ve also verified that my Dex.ini file does NOT include the line:  UseCOMForExcelExport = TRUE

I select from Excel file only data (no headers) - 3 rows for this example - formatted as:  

 Dist. Reference                    Account String                            Debit     Credit

 Nothing happens, no error message.  Any thoughts on what I might try to get the data to paste?
