Cloud Business Central to On Prem SQL

I have read allot of information and some say no problem, some say can't be done. Can I get a definitive answer? Can I setup a SQL Linked Server on Prem to my Business Central cloud based ERP? I have so many external reports I will need to setup when we convert. I don't think the web api is a good replacement for good old T-SQL.

    Hi, A big premise is that Cloud BC cannot read On-Pre SQL. This requires an intermediate connector.
    For example, you can read On-Pre SQL in Power Automate and then link it to Cloud BC.
     
    Or set up synchronization of Local sql to azure sql, then BC connects to Azure SQL through the interface.
    Tutorial: Set up SQL Data Sync between databases in Azure SQL Database and SQL Server
     
    So while it is possible, I personally don't recommend it. . .

    It does but I really need to just query data for the most part. I have tons of stuff that connect to SQL to get data and format it the way the users want it and then emailed. Also I have several excel files that query SQL the data as well. So if I am reading this correctly. BC can connect to Azure SQL. Then create a linked server to Azure SQL from my On Prem Sql? Correct?
