Download Source Code in BC on-Prem of an External App

Greetings to all of you.

I am responsible of a project which requires the upgrade of a BC on prem deployment, to BC SaaS (latest version).

When i am trying to download the source code of an app which is installed on my customer environment but developed from an external company, i receive the error below.

The contents 'DotNetPackage' of GetApplicationObjectTypeFromSyntaxKind parameter number 1 are invalid.

As a result , i am unable of downloading this app source code.

As a spare plan, i created a new app , set the dependency on this third-party app and i was able to see the code but i still cant download all the objects in a single folder or something like that. I am forced to copy the code from each and every one object, and since this app includes more than 200 custom objects, you can imagine that i need to find another way to solve my issue.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Hi,

Contact third-party app developer company and get extension source code with dotnet DLL files.

Unfortunately, there is no other good way.
This requires External App settings to allow downloading. If you don't have the source code of their app, you can only copy them one by one.

    Thanks.

Unfortunately if the source code is not allowed to download you can not download it this is the only way to copy objects manually
