using Modifier to add a field to a form

EDITED:  This post was originally posted incorrectly and part of the message was truncated.  Never the less, I believe I have received a sufficient response.

I am using Modifier to add a field to a form.  In general, I know how to add fields to a form.  However, in this case, I have added a column to the table that is already associated with the form I wish to modify in modifier.  In the Toolbox, I see all of the columns of the original table.  I cannot figure out how to make my new column show up.  I have tried modifying the table definition from within the Modifier.  But, this hasn't worked.

    Hi Steve,

    Which form are you trying to modify? (hopefully not the SOP Entry form). Is there any other field in the table you could hijack to store your data?

    I cannot read all of your message for some reason, but you mentioned you added a column to a table that is already associated with the Form. This is a 'no no'. I believe you will get record length errors any time GP tries to access that table. Either use the DUOS tables or create your own and make an ADO connection to the database to retrieve your data.
