I am running an older version of RMS 2.0.100. I am receiving an /unknown error/ when printing receipts to my Star TSPII printer. I have two printers and they both work from register 1 and neither works from register 2. It's not hardware. I upgraded to windows 10 on register 2 so I would guess that has something to do with the problem. I think it's a config issue but I have no idea how to fix it. Any suggestions? Thanks, Robyn
I've found the Star TSP printers to have issues completely outside of RMS and can usually be resolved with a fresh install.
Are you using OPOS drivers for the printer? USB? ETHERNET? Are you using the STAR MICRONICS software to set it up?
I've had issues after power outages, and having to create a whole new OPOS driver for the printer, but once I updated it through STAR MICRONICS software AND updated the name of the new driver in Manager it would resolve the issue.
