Hi All,
Though the numbering series tick box "allow gaps" is not ticked when a document is deleted system takes the next number. Is there are a way to set the system so numbers are not skipped when you delete purchase order or sales order type of documents without journals?

This is helpful in understanding some of the system logic however maybe the solution is to be able to close a order rather than deleting but this may not work unless we turn auto save off. Eventually I think BC will come up with better solution
Close (not delete) un-posted doc for fill the gap in the docs numbers. Hmmm...
Not sure that it is according the basic BC/NAV logic. BC/NAV deletes un-posted docs since 'dinosaur period'. In any case. Try to create an idea (product suggestion) via https://aka.ms/bcideas .
