Cannot generate Packing Slip in D365 Sales due to Output order already invoiced

Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue when trying to generate a Packing Slip in Dynamics 365 Sales for sales order 000936, item D0001 – MidRangeSpeaker, on Site 2 / Warehouse 21.
Here are the details:

Ordered quantity: 50
Physical inventory on Site 2: 200 units
Reserved for this order: 50 units
Available physical: 150 → enough for delivery
Line status: Open order
Fulfillment status: Unknown
When I try to generate the BL via Pick and pack → Post packing slip, I get the following error:

Quantity 0.00 cannot be picked for item D0001.
Inventory transactions with a quantity of 50.00 attached to reference Output order 000194 exist.
Insufficient inventory transactions with status On order, Reserved ordered, Reserved physical and Picked.

After checking, the Output order 000194 is already invoiced.
It seems that D365 is trying to use units already invoiced in Output order 000194, even though there is sufficient nettable stock available on the site.

My question:

What is the best way to generate a Packing Slip for this order using only the available nettable stock on Site 2 / Warehouse 21, without the system trying to use units attached to an already invoiced Output order?

Thank you in advance for your advice and guidance!

    Good day,

Have you already tried to remove the output order in the following screen?

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Laurens' suggestion would also be mine.
Otherwise, have you tried removing the reservation on the line and doing it again? Are you able or do you get an error message?

    Hi,

Can you tell us how you concluded that the output order is invoiced? What are the quantities for the order lines? You can check them via action menu General > Line quantity. What is the status of the related inventory transactions?

    Hi,

When you generate picking list on sales order, FSC will create a output order for you. you must register it first and post packing slip later.
If you want to post packing slip on sales order directly, you must input sufficient storage dimensions and tracing dimensions on sales order lines.
If you use WMS warehouse, you will use reservation to proceed this, no output order will be created for this method.
If you really register output order 000194 for your case already , you should choose picked type (normally it is default )on post packing slip. Output order is just a warehouse document, you can not inovice on this kind of document, only sales order can be invoiced.
I can get the same error message like you mentioned , when I did not finish picking list registertion and try to post packing slip directly.
