You must specify a journal batch ID or a journal ID to get a journal line.

I am not sure if I should post this to this forum, but I am hoping Microsoft is listening and can assist.  We are trying to use Power Automate to import general journal lines and continue to get this error message.

You must specify a journal batch ID or a journal ID to get a journal line.

This post is the same issue, but it seems crazy that a out of the box connector makes you have a work around.

Has anyone been able to import general journals with the Power Automate connector for journals and journal lines.  The batch creates perfectly fine, but fails on the line import.

Thanks,

Tanya

Hi Josh, is this the same thing I'm trying to do? (Post here community.dynamics.com/.../get-production-journal-lines-in-odatav4-or-through-api)

It seems like you use the body to specify what journal lines to get, is that right? I just copied you but I can't get it to work. Do you have any advice?

To avoid this conflict I’ve opted away from the api pages. Instead using a web service published page for the journal batch. You can then pass in a larger body of json. I used this in a demo, hence the hard coded dates:

I have not tried it myself but you will have to at least provide all the primary key fields being journal, batch and line no.

And i guess the API use the ID for journal and batch instead of the names.
