Workflow that "trips" by date

Hi all,

I have a "Due Date" field in CRM that is populated at the creation of an Account.

I want to start a workflow that starts when the Due Date expires, i.e.

"If today's date Equals <Due Date>", then...

Is there a way to do this? Or any creative ways? Can't do any coding...

    Use timeout condition in workflow to start the workflow when due date reaches.

    Hi Chon,

    An important Note based on the testing results.

    You might run into scenarios where you either have to complete cancel an Activity well before the due date.

    You will notice that a workflow might still trigger since it is suppose to run post Due Date expires or is approaching the expiry date and time; depending upon the way you have designed it.

    To avoid this you may add up a Check condition to run the workflow only if the Activity Status = Open. Make sure you add this condition as the first step so that the the entire workflow will be skipped if the Activity is not completed or cancelled.
