Hi:

Would Java, C, C#, or C++ be "closely related" to the programming language that Business Central is written in -- AL?

    And C/AL was based upon Pascal: PASCAL ==> CAL ==> AL ;-)

    There are, imho, not much similarities with C or C++ or C#, since these are OO and AL is not OO.

    Hi, I don't know the next end point of AL, but it is closely related to C/AL of NAV, and in fact accturAL evolved from C/AL.

    C/AL -> AL

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

    It's moving to be more C# like, but the basis is Pascal based.
