Customizing the Activities Tab

Hey guys,

I have a scenario to which I cannot seem to find a solution. When an email is tracked under a lead, contact or opportunity. The tracked email shows up under the activities tab. However the dates are sometimes wrong. Here's an example. Sorry for the crappiest picture but you guys get the idea. The date/time shown is supposedly the modified date. How can I change that to the Created date?

Thanks

Shabeer

    Hi Shabeer

Unfortunately the Activity Pane is relatively Uncustomisatible , so trying to change this is not supported.

Alternatives is to use Subgrid instead, or creating you own html web resource

    Hey Raz,

Thanks for the quick reply. I am not interested in customizing the activity pane. I want to make sure the correct date/time gets shown up for the emails. Currently it is showing the modified date. I want to know how to make it so it shows the created date.

    Thanks.

Hope this helps you understand the story a bit better :)

    Shabeer,

Unfortunately changing the fields presented to the user does count as customizing  the activity pane.

If you wish to communicate that you want this changed to MS I would suggest doing so from here:  connect.microsoft.com/.../activity-pane-displays-modified-on-date-in-the-records-instead-of-the-created-on-date

I guess my question is. How would I solve this dilemma of CRM showing the modified on date for emails instead of the created on date

I think Raz gave the best possible supported answers in his post.
