Common name for current version of Dynamics 365 / CRM

I am developing some video tutorials for CRM using Dynamics 365 Online.

If I had done these say 6 months ago, I would have introduced them using a sentence similar to "you can copy these examples if you have a copy of CRM 2015". What is the current equivalent, i.e. the Dynamics 365 equivalent of that sentence? My CRM version is 1612 - from Help about, created as a free trial on 16th December 2016.

I would stay away from naming them with a version number and just sating

"Dynamics 365 as of *Current Date*"

HI Opsis, You can start referring to the Version number of Dynamics 365, the current version number is 8.2

There is a lot of confusion around this as CRM is just one app under Dynamics 365 umbrella.

Probably you can call it, Sales/Service/Marketing/Field Service app in Dynamics 365

Hi OpsisCRM,

In documentation, I would simply use "Dynamics 365", since this is the official name. For example, in Microsoft TechNet site, they use "Dynamics 365" (https://technet.microsoft.com/library/dn531101.aspx), in docs.microsoft.com they use "Dynamics 365" (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/).

When you referring to a specific "App" in Dynamics 365, then you can use the phrases such as "Sales App", "Customer Service App" etc.
