Adjusting Costs in Great Plains

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Does anyone know of a solution that will allow mass updates of Inventory qtys costs?

I have a Customer who received hundreds of different items at a wrong cost as they attached the wrong landed costs to all. As a result that need to change current inventory to the correct cost and it is hundreds of items with multiple receivings.

Does anyone know if there are there any ISV solutions to expiate this? thanks in advance for any help provided.

    Thanks for the reponse Leslie.

The problem with that is we lose the PO history from an auditing point of view. I would prefer to avoid that solution if at all possible. I could do it with purchase receipts but it opens it own can of worms and is one receipt at a time.

    Hi Tom,

If they just want to change the cost, and not 're-receive' the items, they could simply post an inventory transaction to reduce the inventory and then another entry to increase the inventory at the right cost.

What exactly are they trying to accomplish?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
