I have a crm 2013 on premise prod and Dev/Test, and the organization name is different.

but that Dev/Test does not have all same data from PROD

what is the best practice for that please?

SQL server replication is good solution? it means organization name is the same too.... is that okay to do that?

Thank you

    Hello,

I'm afraid that SQL Server replication is not the best option. We use following approach:

Once all customizations/development is rolled out to a prod server I take a backup of productive CRM, delete dev organization, restore backup of productive with DB Name of dev organization and import organization using deployment administration tool with name of dev organization.

    Thank your reply, Andrii

I have different Organization name between TEST and PROD

should I also back up MSCRM_CONFIG from PROD and restore it to TEST as well?

    Thank you

Do you have different installations for your dev/test/prod environments or you have all organizations on the same server and just different DBs? Anyway - don't touch MSCRM_Config DB. Move just organization DB.

currently I have one TEST web server, and database server

and one PROD web server, and database server

    they have different Organization names

the PROD is also IFD and setup ADFS for ipad uses, but TEST one is not.

now the requirement is to refreshing data from PORD to TEST

and setup IFD and ADFS on TEST for ipad as well

    Thanks

    Thank you for the reply....

I am still finding a way to add myself to have deployment administration tool access

the one who has the right to do that is not here anymore.

do you have any ideas about that?

    Regards,

    Arthur

Actually this question is other comparing to initial one and it's a good idea not to mix different questions in the same thread but I have solution for you - butenko.pro/.../ms-crm-2011-add-new-deployment-administrator-through-sql
