Exporting Records from CRM to Excel

Hello

I have a custom entity. I can open a record from this custom entity and then click "activities" which opens the "open activity associated view" in a sub grid. Lets say there is 7 records within this sub grid. I then have the option to "export" these records, so I click it and it says "exporting 7 rows" then when the excel sheet opens there's hundreds of records rather than the 7 I wanted!

So, I log onto an on premise version of CRM 2015 and do the exact same steps, only it works as it should in the on premise version and I get 7 records exported to excel??

What is happening here?

Thanks

    Hi,

Please check the view as well as the filter in the Associated view  in your online version and compare it with the on premise version.

    regards,

    Krishna

    Hi,

Please double check the associated view of your activities in online version. It might exporting all activities instead of related record's activities.

    We have the same problem.

Export 7 records to excel from the activities view on a custom entity and we get hundreds of records appear in Excel.

CRM 2015 0.2 all machines have the 1.1 client installed.

It works fine from a Windows 7 machine but fails on both users who have Windows 10. Has anybody else seen this issue?

    Kind regards,

    Stephen

Hi, we never ended up finding a solution for this, logged it with microsoft who had me changing the filters etc. none of which helped, in the end the issue wasn't big enough for me to continue looking into it at the time but i need to re visit it at some point.

We have the same issue in 2016 SP1. I think it's just an issue with a little Mom & Pop organization like Microsoft, they can't possibly test every interaction between products. /sarcasm
