Retail store statement is not posting getting difference error

Hi,

I am getting the below error message in the store statement.

"While processing the state Checked, generic exception encountered in retail statement 00000004-005372 in the controller : The total difference 4,867.00 is greater than the maximum posting difference 500.00 for the store ST-TBL-01.
Posting was cancelled.

I am very new to the retail, can you please explain me that why we have the difference and how to resolve this difference?

It seems like the cashier is forgot to enter the correct amount in the shift tender transaction, is there any way to adjust the shift tender transaction.

You can either the edit the statement and edit the values to remove the difference amount if the user made a mistake while declaring the tenders. Or if the values are correct, you can go ahead with the posting by increasing the maximum posting difference to a value that is greater 4867.00 in the store setup. But I would recommend you investigate what caused the difference.

For my case, the user did a mistake in the tender declaration, so I adjusted the counted amount and made difference zero
