New cash account not appearing in checkbook or reconcile.

A new cash account has been set up.  A display name added to the account record.  When I inquiry in checkbook or try to perform a reconciliation, the account is not appearing.

    There might be several reasons for not having the account populated on the account lookup window. Allow me to list down few possible reasons:

    1- Is there an account level security activated ? If so, make sure that the user has access to this account or use a powerful user which has access to all GL accounts

    2- When creating the account in the GL level, there is a panel to include this account in lookup, check them all.

    3- Is the account inactive ?

    4- On the check book maintenance window (Cards > Financial > Check book), have you linked this GL account to the associated check book.
