    Hi Mona,

    here some similar considerations:

    https://community.dynamics.com/365/f/dynamics-365-general-forum/308829/how-to-make-a-sub-grid-read-only?pifragment-94232=1

In my opinion spend time by JavaScript/XML/Workflow to limit the navigation discouraging all and alters the interface by design.

    My suggestions are:

    • limit the users navigation defining a security model: sec roles, BU, Teams, security field level etc.. (Managers hate take time about permissions, who does what but the model improve the functional process and the user confidence with Dynamics 365)
    • Accounts and Contacts are the foundations of each process (CRM & sales processes, process to cash, forecasting, invoice life-cycle, PSA, IoT, scheduling jobs, customer service, marketing ecc...) ; so why limit the creation by Quick view and quick create? Is your Customers Company Registry, Back Office need a model of good form and easy navigation through contacts and accounts. Try to create Model Driven App as well ;)
    • Avoid to limit the registry navigation for future processes (etc Qualify, Opportunity Cost, Quotes etc..)
    • If you want to limit the sub girds by JavaScript code remember the effort and maintenance costs. Indeed the JS functionalities for sub-grid are restricted. Provide JS rather to a good UX.
    • The worst approach to Hide the '+' is change the XML metadata deleting some xml tags about icon. It ' s better hide the icon using Security Roles privileges that prevent the account creation for the current work user.
    • I think you need provide a unified functional process that let to lead your users during their Dynamics 365 operations.
