Use custom Auto Number (fixing duplicate numbers)

Hi!

I created auto numbering for lead entity in CRM (like this https://arunpotti.wordpress.com/2014/03/21/auto-number-generation-using-real-time-workflow-in-ms-crm-2013/). All work ok for 1-3 users. But when CRM use more users - sometimes we're getting the same numbers for leads (I use real-time workflow). Have anybody ideas to fix it? How I could lock custom entity during getting number? Maybe someone found how resolve this problem.

    Hi Anatoliy,

    as i know there isnt any way to lock entity by oob workflow.

    You could do it by plugin, if you are interested i will post some info, but be aware you need to rewrite all code to generate id.

    There are various autonumber solutions, and you will probably experience this issue in most of them, but you can try the following:

    celedonpartners.com/.../celedon-autonumber-solution-for-dynamics-crm

    www.briteglobal.com/.../get-autonumber
