Master planning forecast reduction not including dispatched sales order

We are running a D365 instance and I have master planning running mostly without problems.

However I do need help with one issue.

I have a forecast for 455 units per week, the forecast day is a Saturday. This is the last day of the week to overcome that MP does not consider past dated forecasts. A forecast reduction key using a period of 28 days. When I place a sales order to be dispatched in say a couple of days time. I correctly see the forecast reduction. The first weeks forecast is offset and disappears. The 2nd weeks forecast drops to =410 units.

If I now dispatch the sales order and rerun MP. I get the same result. But tomorrow if I rerun MP all of the forecast is returned, all 455 per week is back.

How do I get MP to offset sales order dispatched in the period between forecast refreshes?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi sir,

I don't think it is possible. The dynamic period covers the current forecast dates and ends at the start of the next forecast. In this case, master planning creates planned orders to supply the forecasted demand.Time fences are included in the forecast reduction calculation. If you forecast date is already passed it will shows based on when is MP run.

    Hi Judy

When I create the sales order it offsets against a forecast the is 4 day in the future as expected. and the forecast it reduced from 455 to 0. But when the sales order is dispatched, the day after the forecast which is still in the future the forecast returns to being 455.
