Encountering an error during the Web Service installation of GP10.0

Hi all,

I am new to Dynamics GP so I would highly appreciate your assistance.

Kindly note that when installing the web services for Dynamics GP 10.0, I am encountering the following error "An error occured during the installation of the configuration information for the Web Services for Microsoft Dynamics GP. Please correct the issue and then repair the installation using Add/Remove programs.". Then after the error occurs, the setup will rollback and displays the last screen which states that the setup was completed. Unfortunately enough the same error is also encountered during the uninstallation/repair of the web services.

Have anyone of you ever encountered this error?

    Hi all,

    Thanks for your kind replies.

    Please note that I've managed to solve the issue. The issue was with the database collation as it wasn't matching with the SQL Server collation. It wasn't an easy issue to resolve as the error message that was showing it wasn't that easy to notice and unfortunately it was quite unambiguous.

    Suggestion:

    However in order to fix the issue I had to re-install the SQL Server with the same collation of the database (i.e. The company database that I've restored )and the Dynamics GP. I've tried to change the SQL collation from the SQL Server Management Studio, however it was giving us a dependency error. I ran numerous scripts to try to change the collation but with no luck.
