Default Order Settings - Strict validation Option

Hi

I have enabled Strict vaildation in feature management and then

Product information management > Setup > Product information management parameters. Set to strict

I then under teh items default settings have added

1. a Multiple

2. Minumim Order Qty

3. Standard Order Qty

However when creating a sales order the user is still only prompted that the qty is not a multiple and or minimum and they are able to override this still and key a sales order with invalid order qty and multiples.

Is the idea of strict not meant to prevent this happening ?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Charles0252,

Based on the documentation docs.microsoft.com/.../default-order-settings it is a standard behavior to enter just multiples of the quantity in the default order settings.

    Hi Charles,

The feature is used for Multiple and Standard order quantity fields on the Default order settings form.

When you use the new strict option, the Standard order quantity must always be a multiple of the specified Multiple value.

    Hi Mattguo

Thanks for the information, however I have set these up correctly, my problem is that even with these settings under the Sales Order Default settings, a user is still able to create a Sales order that is 1. Not part of the MOQ 2. Not a multiple

It seems all you get is a warning even with strict enabled. I would have thought Strict would mean that it would not be possible to process a sales order with a mismatched qty.

    Hi Charles,

This feature is only used for the four fields on the Default Order Settings form, and an error message is raised.

It can not stop the creation of different quantity in PO and SO, inventory order.
