Hi Everyone,

Is there a way to delete or reverse a POSTED quick journal entry?

Thank you,

Angela

    Hi Angela,

A quick journal is simply a 'shortcut' to create a General Ledger entry. So once posted, you can reverse it just like you would any other GL entry.

Probably the easiest would be to identify the journal entry number of the posted transaction, then go to Transactions | Financial | General, click the Correct button, choose Back Out a Journal Entry under Action and enter the JE number under Original Journal Entry.

Another option, if there are not too many lines on the entry, would be to use the Quick Entry again and just enter the reverse numbers of what the original entry had.

    Hope that helps.
