How can I increase the number of decimals in UOM Schedule Setup?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We have recently received a request from purchasing to allow them more decimal places in the UOM Schedule Setup. Currently, the highest number available in the drop down list is 5. I have looked everywhere I can think of to change this, to no avail.

The reason for this is that they want to purchase something in lots of 1,000,000, but have the option to build it out at single units if necessary.

I would really appreciate any help on where to look.

Thanks,

Jeremy

To increase it would be a custom, and probably very spendy.   It would be far easier to do eaches for the single units, and build a conversion in the U of M schedule to purchase in lots of 1 M.   The U of M schedule would be similar to this (assuming eaches):

    1 EA = 1 EA

    1 M = 1,000,000 EA

They could then purchase as 1 M and it would update inventory by 1,000,000 EA.
