Hi Tin,
Enable Duplicate Detection
[View:https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics/crm-customer-center/turn-duplicate-detection-rules-on-or-off-for-the-whole-organization.aspx:750:50]
Now you need to create duplicate detection rules
Go to settings>>Data management>>Duplicate Detection Rules>>new
[View:http://www.powerobjects.com/2013/08/06/duplicate-detection-with-security-roles-dynamics-crm/:750:50]
Now go to settings>>Data management>>Duplicate Detection Jobs>>new
Select the entity on which you want this to run and apply any criteria/filter if you want
Checkmark 'Run this job every' and type 1 manually (by default its 7 days but you can change it manually) and finally submit
Follow the screenshot below:
In the duplicate detection job, You can even type the days to one instead of 7. It will work
Thanks Prashant,
I am getting below error, any idea how can move forward?
"Bulk Detect Duplicate Limit Exceeded. The Bulk Duplicate Detection job cannot detect more than 5000 duplicates. Please review your duplicate rules or resolve existing duplicates and rerun the job"
You have to narrow down your list by applying filters during bulk detect duplicate
For example contacts created on is this year
Then run the job
If you are really getting 5000+ duplicates its a matter of concern coz your data needs too much cleansing
If lets say you started using this crm system in 2014 then create 3 different jobs
One for contacts created this year
One for contacts created last year
And one for contacts created in 2014
Hi Tin
I can see that u ask questions regularly but don't verify them.
If your questions in the previous posts and current post have been answered, please mark them as verified as it helps other members to easily identify a solution
Thanks good logic :)
I have data from 4.0 to 2015 so it means data is huge here.......:)
I don't feel this logic will work for me.
5000 records at a time is a limitation.
If the method I suggested is not suitable, you will have to create a custom plugin with de-duplication rules. community.dynamics.com/.../127054
