Printing bar codes for items

Good day,

License= Microsoft Dynamics GP 10 SP4

I need to print a bar code for all the items we have currently available in stock the problem is that if I basically have to input manual item id code, description, serial number ( this depends on the item) is there a way to load the database of the items onto the printer it's a zebra LP2824.

During this period what i'm doing is looking it up on smartlist converting it to excel and then copy pasting the info per barcode sticker.

Thanks for your helpful advice.

    Hi Mayra.

    2 options available to you.

    Do you have Microsoft Access.

    If you do you can link the IV00101 table and create a label report. The bar code is just a font but you have to create a field that starts and ends with an asterisk "*".(Formula "*" & ITEMNMBR & "*")

    If not you can create a custom report with report writer based on the ITEM MASTER File and do exactly the same thing.

    Hope this helps

    We use a brother label printer. Brother's p-touch software can access SQL directly, or through an excel file (export a smartlist or use excel report builder for example.

    What software are you using to drive the Zebra printer?  Bar Tender does this by merging a CSV file (from SmartList) into the label format and printing the entire batch of labels.

    We have an application for dynamics that does that. Its dexterity/report writer based, simple to install and use.
