Hi Techies,

I am working on Document Template in CRM 365 On-Premise . I created a template of Invoice & trying to add the fields through XML Mapping pane but the same is not reflecting which generating the document. I followed the same process as shown in the link " www.powerobjects.com/.../how-to-create-a-microsoft-word-template-in-microsoft-dynamics-365 " but whatever fields I am trying to map its not reflecting.
Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

Thanks

    Hi,

by looking at the  document you sent to me. It looks like the control mapping is wrong.

The control should be looks like below video.

    Hi Fun Wei Jie,

I am not using it in regular manner, I am saving this template on a custom entity as an attachment & then over Invoice entity from a button I am downloading the template in PDF format which get attached to the notes.

Now the issue comes when I am trying to map the data from link entities using XML Mapping, it is not giving the values. But if I am putting any field from invoice entity itself the data is reflected in the template but not linked entities.

    Thanks

    Hi @FunWeiJie,

I did find the solution for the this, Its showing me the data now. But my other concern is how to get the values from 2nd table which is not related to invoice & is related to Contacts.

For  example, my Primary Entity is Account.

And in relationship screen I am selecting Contact as N:1 relationship.

Till now everything looks good and working fine.

Now I have one more custom entity which is associated to Contacts and not with Accounts.

I need that custom entity field values in my template too.

In relationship screen, I will be able to select only those mappings which are associated to Account.

So this custom entity will not be part of available relationship list for Account.

    Thanks
